Four Injured in Laclede County Car Crash
LACLEDE COUNTY, MO – Four individuals were injured in a car crash on Highway O near Apache Road Wednesday morning.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at 5:40 a.m. It involved a 2017 GMC Yukon and a 2004 Pontiac Montana. The GMC was traveling east when its driver swerved to avoid a deer, a maneuver that resulted in the vehicle leaving the roadway and striking the parked Pontiac.
Two occupants of the Pontiac, a 33-year-old man from Lebanon and a 40-year-old man from Kansas City, sustained serious injuries. The Pontiac's driver, a 36-year-old woman from Lebanon, suffered minor injuries. All three were transported to Mercy Hospital; however, the Kansas City man required airlift transport due to the severity of his injuries.
The 16-year-old male driver of the GMC also sustained minor injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital for treatment.
Emergency responders were on scene, and no further information regarding road closures or vehicle tows was provided. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
