KENLY, NC — July 15, 2024, 2:41 p.m. — The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) announced it could not determine the cause of a tractor-trailer collision that injured multiple people.
According to the NTSB, the incident occurred on Interstate 95, where the truck struck several vehicles stopped in traffic. Authorities confirmed that five vehicles were involved in the crash. Emergency services responded promptly, providing medical aid to the injured.
Witnesses reported seeing the truck approach the stopped vehicles at a high speed. On-site assistance included personnel from the North Carolina State Highway Patrol and local fire departments.
