Fatal motorcycle crash reported in Onego.

Onego, W.Va. (WVDN) – A crash on U.S. Route 33 in Onego claimed the lives of two individuals on Friday, April 18, 2025, at approximately 7:15 p.m.

According to Pendleton County 911 Communications, the collision occurred at the base of Allegheny Mountain, where the motorcycle lost control in a right-hand curve, struck a guardrail, and both riders over an embankment.

Authorities identified the victims as 75-year-old Mark Bradley Forinash and 72-year-old Donna Louise Forinash, both from Valley Bend, W.Va. EMS personnel pronounced the victims dead at the scene, and their bodies were later transported to Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, W.Va.

Cpl. J.M. Hebb of the Pendleton County Sheriff's Office responded to the incident and gathered information from fellow motorcyclists who witnessed the crash. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident is ongoing.

No lane closures were reported following the incident. Next of kin have been notified.
