COLUMBUS, Ohio — One person died after a red sedan struck a wall on I-71 eastbound at mile marker 102 at 4:11 p.m., authorities said.
According to the Columbus Police Department, officers arrived and pronounced one victim dead at the scene.
CPD said a semi traveling eastbound lost a tire that bounced across the interstate, contributing to multiple crashes, including the fatal collision.
Authorities said Interstate 70 was shut down for some time and has since reopened in both directions.
The crash remains under investigation.
