Man Dies in Lynn Head-On Collision with MBTA Bus
LYNN, MA — A man died following a head-on collision with an MBTA bus early Sunday morning on the Route 107 bridge.
The crash occurred around 4:30 a.m. when the driver of a 2016 Honda Civic crossed the double yellow line, according to MBTA Transit Police. The vehicle was traveling in the opposite direction at the time.
The Honda collided with the bus, which had no passengers aboard. The driver of the Civic sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The bus driver was reportedly unharmed.
Emergency response teams arrived promptly, and an investigation into the crash is ongoing. The identity of the deceased driver has not been released to the public.
