A driver has been charged in a crash that killed three Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office deputies on November 21, 2024.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 32-year-old Corrinne Adrianna Blue was and driving aggressively when she veered off State Road 80 in Loxahatchee, striking Corporal Luis Paez, Deputy Ralph “Butch” Waller, and Deputy Ignacio “Dan” Diaz.

The collision occurred around 9:14 a.m. while the deputies were assisting with a disabled on the south shoulder of Southern Boulevard. Paez and Waller were at St. Mary's Medical Center later that day. Diaz died from his injuries on November 25.

Witnesses reported that Blue was traveling above the 55 mph speed limit, weaving through traffic and making unsafe lane changes moments before the crash. She reportedly reached speeds up to 86 mph.

Blue appeared before a judge on Friday, with bond set at $750,000 for three counts of vehicular homicide. Conditions of her release include house arrest and restrictions on travel and contact with the victims' families.

Investigators found no mechanical issues with her vehicle and ruled out weather factors. They determined that fatigue from working an overnight shift contributed to her inability to control the vehicle.

The investigation, which involved video evidence and witness statements, concluded that Blue's actions demonstrated willful disregard for the safety of others, directly leading to the deputies' deaths.

State Attorney Alexcia Cox emphasized the importance of the charges for the families of the deceased deputies as the case proceeds to court.
