POLK COUNTY, FL — Deputies from the Polk County Sheriff's Office are investigating a fatal car crash that occurred at approximately 2:41 p.m. on Wednesday at the intersection of Powerline Road and Snell Creek Road.
According to the PCSO, a collision involved two vehicles, resulting in one fatality. The deceased was pronounced dead at the scene. Additional details regarding the identity of the victim have not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
Authorities reported that emergency medical services responded and provided aid to the second driver, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries. That individual was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation.
