Kimberly Anne Mathers Pleads No Contest in Hit-and-Run Case
Macomb County, MI — Kimberley Anne Mathers, 51, entered a no contest plea in court earlier this week regarding charges from an alleged hit-and-run incident on February 16, according to the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office.
Mathers was driving a white Range Rover when she reportedly struck a parked silver Dodge Ram pickup truck, pushing it approximately 50 feet from its original position. Authorities said Mathers failed to stop or report the accident and was impaired during the incident.
She faces charges of operating while impaired and failure to stop after a collision. Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido noted the serious consequences of impaired driving, emphasizing the need for accountability. Mathers could face up to 93 days in jail, with sentencing scheduled for June 17.
This incident is not Mathers' first legal issue related to substance abuse. She was previously arrested for a separate DUI in 2015, which she described as a suicide attempt. She has a history of legal troubles, including probation violations stemming from drug use.
Mathers was married to rapper Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, from 1999 to 2001 and again in 2006. They share one daughter, Hailie Jade Scott.
The investigation into the hit-and-run incident is ongoing.
