Columbia Man Injured in Boone County Crash on Friday Night
A Columbia man sustained serious injuries in a vehicle crash on Missouri 763 in Boone County on Friday night.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the incident occurred at 8:15 p.m. near East Harvester Road. The 40-year-old driver was operating a 2012 Lincoln MKS.
The crash report indicates the driver attempted to make a left turn but traveled off the east side of the roadway. The vehicle struck a concrete curb, continued into a metal post, and subsequently overturned, colliding with a utility pole and several large wooden pallets.
Emergency responders transported the driver to University Hospital for treatment of his injuries. MSHP reported that he was not wearing a seat belt during the crash. The investigation is ongoing, with no additional details about lane closures or towing provided at this time.
