Minor Injuries Reported After Crash Involving Seven People in Callaway County
A crash involving seven individuals resulted in minor injuries on Route Y, east of County Road 365, on Friday at 5:20 p.m., according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
A 2016 Volkswagen Tiguan, driven by a 40-year-old woman from Fulton, was stopped in the roadway, waiting for another vehicle to turn. A 2006 Ford Mustang, operated by a 16-year-old from Ashland, crested a hill and struck the rear of the Volkswagen.
The Volkswagen carried three adults, ages 23, 39, and 40, along with three children, ages 3, 11, and 12, all from Fulton. Emergency responders transported all occupants of the Volkswagen to University Hospital with minor injuries. A 14-year-old passenger in the Mustang was also taken to the same hospital, sustaining minor injuries.
Authorities are investigating the incident. No lane closures or road obstructions were reported at the time of the crash.
