Driver Arrested After Crashing Car Into Massachusetts Restaurant.

LYNNFIELD, Mass. — A 19-year-old driver was arrested early Sunday after crashing into a Lynnfield restaurant, according to authorities.

At approximately 1:30 a.m., a State Police trooper observed a vehicle driving erratically on Route 1 North. The driver failed to comply with a police signal to stop and exited the highway via the Salem Street ramp.

The vehicle crashed into School Street Foods at 618 Salem St. The driver, identified as Benjamin Robert Pimentel of Lynnfield, was arrested and transported to the State Police's Danvers barracks for booking. Pimentel faces charges including operating under the influence, failure to stop, and negligent operation. He is set to be arraigned Monday in Peabody District Court.

No injuries were reported as a result of the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
