Multiple-Vehicle Crash on I-90 Near Rapid City Leaves One Injured
RAPID CITY, SD—A multi-vehicle accident occurred on Interstate 90 eastbound near mile marker 59 at approximately 2:41 p.m. on October 8, 2023.
Authorities said the incident involved three vehicles and resulted in one confirmed injury. The injured party was transported to Rapid City Regional Hospital for treatment. No fatalities were reported.
Emergency response units, including the South Dakota Highway Patrol and local first responders, arrived on the scene within minutes. Traffic was diverted to the shoulder as crews worked to clear the wreckage, causing lane closures on the eastbound side of the highway.
