FRANKLINTON, La. — A fatal crash involving an off-road vehicle occurred on Louisiana Highway 25 near East Daniels Road on June 7 at 1:20 p.m.
According to the Louisiana State Police, the incident involved multiple vehicles. Timothy Blackwell, 48, of Folsom, was driving the off-road vehicle when it was struck by a 2004 Saturn. Authorities reported that Blackwell was traveling on the northbound shoulder when he entered the lane and was hit.
Blackwell was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in the off-road vehicle and the driver of the Saturn sustained injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The roadway was temporarily closed for the investigation, and authorities are looking into the circumstances surrounding the crash. Further updates will be provided as they become available.
