Construction Worker Injured in on I-95 in Foxborough

A construction worker was seriously injured in a hit-and-run on Interstate 95 in Foxborough, Massachusetts, early Monday morning, according to Massachusetts State Police.

The incident occurred around 2:15 a.m. in the northbound lanes as the worker was retrieving a sign for a road detail setup. Authorities confirmed the worker sustained serious injuries but is expected to survive.

State police troopers administered a tourniquet to the worker's lower leg to control bleeding until Emergency Medical Services arrived on the scene.

Investigators recovered a passenger-side mirror from the location of the crash. The investigation is ongoing.

“The Massachusetts State Police offers the victim and his family our deepest sympathy in the aftermath of this senseless crash,” a spokesperson stated. The spokesperson emphasized the dangers of failing to drive carefully in work zones.
