BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. — A multi-vehicle collision occurred on Interstate 26 near mile marker 32 early Sunday afternoon.
According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, emergency responders were dispatched at approximately 12:15 p.m. to the scene.
Upon arrival, authorities found three vehicles involved in the crash, which resulted in significant damage.
Reports confirm two individuals sustained injuries, with one requiring transport to Mission Hospital for treatment.
The roadway was partially closed for approximately two hours while crews cleared the scene and conducted an investigation.
No fatalities were reported in the incident. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
