A Columbia woman has been charged with driving under the influence and assaulting officers following a crash late Friday night.

The incident occurred at approximately 11:01 p.m. on June 5, 2026, when a man reported that his truck had been struck at Broadway and Keene Street, with the suspected vehicle fleeing the scene.

Multiple calls to 911 alerted authorities to a subsequent crash on Highway WW and Rolling Hills Road. Responding Boone County deputies discovered a Odyssey high-centered on the median, with the driver, identified as 33-year-old Star Parker, still inside.

Witnesses reported a strong odor of alcohol emanating from the vehicle. Deputies managed to turn off the engine and remove the keys from Parker, who was recorded on video stating, “Just because I'm f****** intoxicated.”

When deputies attempted to remove her from the vehicle, Parker resisted and allegedly scratched officers, causing one to bleed. She also kicked a deputy in the knee.

At the jail, Parker was reported to have spat on a sergeant and bitten an officer's finger. She faces several charges including Third Degree Assault – Special Victim, Resisting Arrest, DWI, and three counts of Fourth Degree Assault – Special Victim.

Parker is currently held without bond at the Boone County Jail. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities continue to collect evidence related to the incident.
