Child Dead, Several Injured in I-45 Car Crash Wednesday
A child is deceased and multiple individuals are injured following a vehicle collision on I-45 on Wednesday afternoon.
The incident occurred at approximately 2:41 p.m. in the southbound lanes near mile marker 123. Authorities reported that three vehicles were involved in the crash. Emergency responders from the local police and fire departments arrived on the scene shortly after the incident.
One child was confirmed dead, and at least four others suffered various injuries. All injured parties were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. The identities of the victims have not yet been released.
According to the Texas Department of Transportation, the southbound lanes of I-45 were closed for several hours to allow for investigation and cleanup. Motorists were advised to seek alternate routes as delays were expected.
