Three Dead in Early Morning Collision on East Clarendon Drive
DALLAS, TX – A crash involving an SUV and a truck on East Clarendon Drive shortly after 8 a.m. on Wednesday resulted in the deaths of two children and one adult.
Authorities reported that the collision occurred at a known dangerous curve. Witnesses indicated that multiple accidents have taken place on this stretch, prompting calls for improved warning signage. “That curve is dangerous,” a neighbor stated, advocating for additional safety measures.
Barnard Carson, owner of a nearby business, noted that incidents are frequent. “I see spinouts and wrecks time and time again,” he said, mentioning a past incident where a vehicle crashed into a building nearby.
Surveillance footage captured the aftermath of the crash, with several bystanders assisting the injured before emergency services arrived. Responding units included multiple fire trucks, with emergency medical personnel transporting six passengers from the SUV to local hospitals.
The Dallas Police Department's Vehicle Crimes Unit took over the scene for an investigation lasting approximately four hours. They collected evidence and examined the destroyed vehicles before being towed.
