Three Dead in Early Morning Collision on East Clarendon Drive

DALLAS, TX – A crash involving an and a truck on East Clarendon Drive shortly after 8 a.m. on Wednesday resulted in the deaths of two children and one adult.

Authorities reported that the collision occurred at a known dangerous curve. Witnesses indicated that multiple accidents have taken place on this stretch, prompting calls for improved warning signage. “That curve is dangerous,” a neighbor stated, advocating for additional safety measures.

Barnard Carson, owner of a nearby business, noted that incidents are frequent. “I see spinouts and wrecks time and time again,” he said, mentioning a past incident where a vehicle crashed into a building nearby.

Surveillance footage captured the aftermath of the crash, with several bystanders assisting the injured before emergency services arrived. Responding units included multiple fire trucks, with emergency medical personnel transporting six passengers from the SUV to local hospitals.

The Dallas Police Department's Vehicle Crimes Unit took over the scene for an investigation lasting approximately four hours. They collected evidence and examined the destroyed vehicles before being towed.

Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash, focusing on whether speed was a factor and the use of seatbelts by passengers. No further details have been released at this time.
