A child bicyclist was critically injured in a hit-and-run involving an ATV in Northwest D.C. Saturday evening, April 4, authorities said.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded around 6:52 p.m. to the intersection of 14th Street and Chapin Street NW.
Responders found the child unconscious but breathing. Emergency crews provided medical aid and transported the victim to a hospital in critical condition, police said.
Authorities said the ATV driver fled the scene.
The suspected driver was described as a man with dreadlocks, wearing all black, riding a lime green and white ATV.
