Pickup truck–motorcycle crash in Pickaway County leaves one dead.

At 2:51 p.m. May 17 in Kingston, Ohio, a pickup struck a at State Route 159 and County Road 1, killing a passenger.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at the intersection of State Route 159 and County Road 1 (Kingston Adelphi Road) in Pickaway County.

Troopers said a westbound 2011 Silverado driven by Kenneth Boyce failed to stop at the intersection and hit a southbound 2023 CAN-AM Spyder operated by Ellery Elick.

According to troopers, the impact threw Elick and passenger Peggy Sims from the motorcycle, and the bike went off the roadway before stopping.

Sims was transported to Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, where she was , authorities said. Elick remains in critical condition.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating.
