Bicyclist Recovers After Hit-and-Run Crash on Elm Street
A bicyclist is recovering after a hit-and-run incident on Elm Street on October 12 at approximately 4:15 p.m.
Authorities reported the cyclist, a 28-year-old man, was struck by a blue sedan traveling eastbound. The vehicle left the scene immediately following the collision. Emergency responders from the local Fire Department and paramedics provided medical aid to the victim, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the city hospital.
Witnesses described the sedan as having a distinctive spoiler and tinted windows. Police have initiated an investigation to identify the driver and vehicle involved.
As a result of the ongoing investigation, a portion of Elm Street was closed to traffic for approximately two hours, beginning at 4:30 p.m. The scene was cleared by 6:30 p.m., and the roadway has since reopened.
