TOWN OF ALBION, Wis. — One person died and two others were injured in a crash on I-39/90 Tuesday afternoon, according to the Wisconsin State Patrol.
The incident occurred at 3:21 p.m. near US Highway 51, east of Stoughton. Authorities reported that a southbound car crossed the median and was struck by a northbound truck.
One passenger in the car was pronounced dead at the scene. The two injured individuals were transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Following the crash, all northbound lanes of I-39/90 were closed but reopened around 8 p.m. Tuesday.
The Wisconsin State Patrol is currently investigating the accident.
