Bethel Man Seriously Injured in Motorcycle and Van Collision.

Collision in Bethel Injures Rider Tuesday Morning

BETHEL, ME – A motorcycle and van collided at the intersection of Mayville and North roads around 9 a.m. on Tuesday, resulting in severe injuries to the motorcyclist.

According to Maj. Dana Thompson of the Oxford County Sheriff's Office, Christopher LeBrun, 43, of Bethel was driving a 2020 van east on Mayville Road when he attempted a left turn onto North Road. At the same time, Anthony Wells, 49, of Bethel was riding a 2019 Kawasaki motorcycle west on Mayville Road. The two vehicles collided.

Wells sustained severe lower extremity injuries and was to MaineHealth Stephens Hospital in Norway before being to Maine Medical Center in Portland. LeBrun was uninjured, and there were no passengers in either vehicle.

A reconstructionist from the Oxford County Sheriff's Office is conducting an investigation into the incident, and the scene has been secured for further analysis. Additional details regarding lane closures or tows were not provided.
