Driver Killed in Overnight Crash on U.S. 90 West
NEW ORLEANS, LA—A driver was killed after crashing into an 18-wheeler on U.S. 90 West near the Tchoupitoulas Street exit just before 2 a.m. Sunday, according to the New Orleans Police Department.
Officers arrived to find the vehicle trapped beneath the truck. Emergency Medical Services pronounced the driver dead at the scene.
Authorities reported that traffic had slowed due to an earlier accident when the driver's vehicle collided with the back of the 18-wheeler. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, with no additional details released at this time.
