A pickup truck caught fire after leaving the roadway on Ashland City Road/US 41-A Bypass at Chesterfield Road Wednesday evening.
According to Clarksville Police, the truck ignited after crashing. Clarksville Fire Rescue responded to extinguish the flames.
The bypass was closed between Old Ashland City Road and Highway 12 while crews worked at the scene. Authorities reported the driver sustained minor injuries but was not transported to a medical facility.
All lanes remained blocked for an undetermined duration as officials advised drivers to seek alternate routes.
A prayer vigil is being held for a Gallatin teen battling a brain tumor. Family and community members gathered to support 17-year-old Cole in his fight. “Pray for Cole,” his family requested amidst their hope for recovery.
