LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A Louisville man faces a second murder charge following a drunk driving crash that struck a TARC bus stop.
Kevin Moore, 36, is now charged with two counts of murder, DUI, and additional offenses. Authorities reported that Moore ran a red light, colliding with another vehicle at 2:41 p.m. on Dixie Highway at Rockford Lane in Shively. His truck then veered onto the sidewalk, impacting a bus stop where pedestrians were present.
According to police, Moore admitted to consuming alcohol about an hour prior to the incident. The crash resulted in the death of Danielle Cordes, 43. Jasmine Hereford sustained life-threatening injuries and was hospitalized, where she died two days later, prompting the second murder charge.
Three other individuals suffered injuries in the crash, one of which was life-threatening. Moore's bond is currently set at $1 million. His case is scheduled to proceed to a grand jury next month.
