Deerfield Man Arrested After Crashing into Car Wash, Fleeing Scene
CAMBRIDGE, Wis. (WKOW) — A Deerfield man was taken into custody following a crash into a car wash and a subsequent attempt to evade law enforcement.
Julio C. Alatorresanchez, 40, faces charges of eluding, resisting, and operating while intoxicated, according to the Dane County Sheriff's Office.
On October 3, deputies responded to 550 Westgate Court after reports of Alatorresanchez crashing his vehicle into a closed car wash door. He remained at the scene when law enforcement arrived and a tire deflation device was deployed under his vehicle.
When asked to undergo field sobriety testing, Alatorresanchez fled the scene, driving away with a flat tire. Authorities pursued him westbound on Highway 12 until he abandoned the vehicle and ran into a nearby hay field.
Deputies established a perimeter and utilized UAVs to locate and arrest him. Alatorresanchez was subsequently transported to the Dane County Jail.
No injuries were reported from the incident. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash and pursuit is ongoing.
