Driver killed in single-vehicle crash on Montana Highway 135.

MISSOULA, Mont. — A 31-year-old man from St. Regis died in a crash on Montana Highway 135 near Paradise on October 6 at approximately 4:45 p.m.

According to the Montana Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at mile marker 17.9. The driver was operating a Toyota Prius southbound when he exited the right shoulder while navigating a left turn. The driver overcorrected, crossed both lanes, and left the roadway, striking a ditch and overturning.

The driver was not wearing a seat belt and was transported to Clark Fork Valley Hospital. Road conditions at the time were reported as bare and dry. Authorities stated that there is no suspicion of alcohol or drug involvement in the crash.

The investigation is ongoing.
