Motorcyclist suffers serious injuries in crash with car.

WALKER, Mich. — A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries in a crash Thursday morning at the intersection of 3 Mile Road and Walkent Drive.

The incident occurred shortly before 6:30 a.m. on October 9. According to the Walker Police Department, a 54-year-old motorcyclist was traveling east on 3 Mile Road when a westbound car attempted to turn left onto Walkent Drive, entering the motorcyclist's path.

Emergency responders transported the motorcyclist to the hospital with serious injuries. Authorities confirmed that the 28-year-old driver of the car was not injured in the collision.

Investigators have stated that alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash and are continuing to examine circumstances surrounding the incident.
