Actor Josh Hartnett Hospitalized After Collision in St. John's
Josh Hartnett was hospitalized following a collision involving an SUV he was traveling in and a Royal Newfoundland Constabulary vehicle in St. John's on Thursday at approximately 1 a.m.
According to CBC News, Hartnett, 47, was a passenger in the SUV, which was driven by a 59-year-old man whose name has not been disclosed. The incident occurred at the intersection of New Cove Road and Elizabeth Avenue.
Authorities said a police officer was also transported to the hospital as a precaution. Medical staff assessed Hartnett, the driver, and the officer for minor injuries. Both vehicles sustained significant damage in the crash.
Investigators from the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary are currently seeking witnesses and any video footage of the incident.
Hartnett had been in the area for work on an untitled Netflix series featuring an ensemble cast that includes Mackenzie Davis and Charlie Heaton. The series is described as a story of a fisherman grappling with a mysterious creature terrorizing his hometown.
Police confirmed that inquiries into the collision are ongoing.
