POLSON, Mont. — A motorcycle crash on Highway 35 near Polson on October 14, 2023, resulted in one fatality and one severe injury, according to the Montana Highway Patrol.
Two motorcycles were traveling southbound when they failed to negotiate a left-hand curve, subsequently striking a guardrail. Both riders were ejected from their motorcycles and landed on the opposite side of the guardrail.
A 58-year-old man from Polson was pronounced dead at the scene. The second rider, a 45-year-old Polson man, was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Authorities believe alcohol may have played a role in the incident. The crash remains under investigation.
