LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash in the southeast valley early Monday morning.
The incident occurred around 7:10 a.m. at the intersection of South Pecos Road and East Russell Road, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD). A 2025 Indian Scout Bobber was traveling southbound on Pecos with a green light when a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe, which was stopped at a red light, attempted a left turn onto Russell.
The Hyundai turned left in front of the motorcycle, resulting in the collision. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the Hyundai showed no signs of impairment, LVMPD reported.
Authorities confirmed this incident marks the 57th traffic-related fatality in LVMPD's jurisdiction for 2026. Further investigation is ongoing, and details regarding lane closures or emergency response actions were not specified.
