North Idaho Man Dies in Highway E-Bike Collision.

SPIRIT LAKE, Idaho — An e-bike crash on State Highway 41 resulted in the death of a 35-year-old man Friday evening.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m. near milepost 20, less than one mile outside Spirit Lake in Bonner County. According to the Idaho State Police, the man lost control of the electrically assisted on the right shoulder, leading to him being thrown from the bike.

Emergency responders attempted life-saving measures, but the man succumbed to his injuries at the scene. His identity has been confirmed, and authorities have notified his next of kin; however, his name is not being released at this time. Police indicated he was wearing a -style helmet during the incident.

The crash caused lane closures for about three hours as authorities conducted their investigation.
