TWIN FALLS COUNTY — A 39-year-old motorcyclist died following a two-vehicle crash on US-30, just east of Filer, on Friday, May 15.
According to the Idaho State Police, the motorcyclist, from Twin Falls, was riding a 2013 Harley Davidson westbound on US-30. A 49-year-old male, also from Twin Falls, was driving southbound on E 2600 N in a 2017 Nissan Frontier.
At approximately 5:25 p.m., the Nissan attempted to cross US-30 when it collided with the motorcycle. The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The driver of the Nissan, who was wearing a seat belt, was not injured and refused transport to the hospital. He was medically cleared and subsequently taken into custody.
Emergency response included the Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office, the Filer Fire Department, and Magic Valley Paramedics.
The Idaho State Police are conducting an ongoing investigation into the crash.
