MISSOULA, Mont. — Morningstar Farms is recalling two plant-based food products due to potential plastic contamination.

According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the voluntary recall affects MorningStar Farms Buffalo Chik'n Nuggets and Hot and Spicy Sausage Patties sold nationwide. Consumers are advised to discard the affected items and contact the company for a full refund.

The FDA confirmed no illnesses have been reported related to this recall.

In a separate incident, federal investigators are probing a fatal crash in Katy, Texas, possibly involving ‘s automated driving technology.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is investigating after a Tesla Model 3 collided with a residence, resulting in the death of a 76-year-old woman. Authorities reported the driver indicated he was using the vehicle's automated driving system at the time of the incident.

A Tesla executive contested this account on social media, stating the driver “manually overrode self-driving” by fully pressing the accelerator.
