Georgetown Crash Kills New York Woman

A Georgetown crash on September 15 resulted in the death of 49-year-old Beckie Morales from the Bronx, New York.

According to Delaware State Police, the two-vehicle incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. on Route 113, near Redden Road. Morales was driving a Nissan Altima southbound when a Mack Anthem truck, traveling north, attempted to make a left turn onto Redden Road. The truck reportedly failed to yield to a posted sign, turning into Morales' path.

The Nissan collided with the right side of the trailer. Despite wearing a seatbelt, Morales was at the scene. The truck driver, a 76-year-old man from Cambridge, Maryland, was uninjured.
