PLEASANTON, Texas — A traffic incident on Interstate 37 this afternoon involved a group of five Swedish soccer fans traveling through Atascosa County.

Around 2:00 p.m., Deputy Chief Eric Kaiser responded to a minor crash on I-37, where he found the fans with a Swedish flag displayed from their rental motorhome.

According to the Atascosa County Sheriff's Office, the group arrived in Dallas, rented the RV, and was following Sweden's national team across North America. They had previously attended a match in Monterrey, Mexico, and planned further stops in Houston and Los Angeles.

The sheriff's office confirmed that no injuries were reported. Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers and Deputy Chief Kaiser assisted the fans, ensuring their safety before they resumed their journey.

The group expressed enthusiasm for their encounter, stating they had only seen such hospitality in movies and were pleasantly surprised to experience it firsthand in Atascosa County.
