Man Rescued from North Canadian River After Crash.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City firefighters rescued a man from the North Canadian River early Saturday after a crash.

Authorities responded to the incident near Northeast 122nd Street and North Westminster Road at about 1:30 a.m. When officers arrived, they determined they could not reach the victim and called the Oklahoma City Fire Department for assistance.

Using drone technology, firefighters located the victim in the river and successfully pulled him to safety.

The man reported to first responders that he became disoriented after his GPS directed him off course, leading him to wander in the brush for hours before his rescue.

No injuries or fatalities were reported, and no further details on the vehicle involved were released. The investigation is ongoing.
