Driver Enters Not Guilty Plea in East Washington Crash
EAST WASHINGTON, PA — A driver entered a not guilty plea following a recent crash on Main Street, which occurred on October 5 at approximately 5:30 p.m.
According to authorities, the collision involved two vehicles: a sedan and an SUV. Emergency responders from the East Washington Fire Department and local police arrived on the scene shortly after the incident was reported. Medical personnel treated three individuals for non-life-threatening injuries; however, no fatalities were reported.
Witnesses reported that one vehicle was traveling westbound when it collided with the SUV, which was headed east. Both vehicles sustained significant damage, leading to the closure of Main Street between Maple Avenue and Oak Drive for roughly two hours as crews worked to clear the wreckage.
Towing services were called to remove the vehicles, and an investigation into the circumstances of the crash is ongoing, according to the East Washington Police Department. Officers are reviewing surveillance footage and interviewing witnesses to gather more information.
