Motorcyclist Airlifted Following Sandwich Crash
SANDWICH, Mass. — A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash involving a car at the intersection of Old County Road and Route 6A on Tuesday afternoon.
Police responded to the accident shortly after 3:30 p.m., where a 65-year-old man from Barnstable sustained serious injuries. He was airlifted to an area hospital for medical treatment, according to authorities.
The other vehicle involved, a Toyota Corolla driven by a 39-year-old Sandwich man, sustained no injuries. He remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash. Further details about the motorcyclist's condition have not been released.
