Man Charged with Aggravated Assault Following Alleged Collision with Ex-Partner's Vehicle.

SAN ANTONIO — A man was arrested after allegedly crashing his vehicle into his former partner's on April 26.

Authorities said Carlos Rodriguez Jr., 29, is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon following the incident on Marbach Road. According to an arrest affidavit, Rodriguez followed the woman, with whom he had a previous relationship, and yelled for her to “talk to him.”

The woman entered a parking lot near Marbach Oaks, and Rodriguez allegedly demanded that she exit her vehicle before returning to his vehicle and striking hers. The impact caused the woman to report pain in her neck, back, stomach, and chest.

A female passenger in the woman's vehicle was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries, which included a bump on the head and bruising to her hand and knee. Rodriguez has been taken into custody and is awaiting further legal proceedings.
