DENVER, CO – A driver has died following a collision with a stalled vehicle on Interstate 25 on Thursday night.
The incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. near the 6th Avenue exit. According to the Denver Police Department, a southbound driver struck a vehicle that had stopped on the highway. Both drivers sustained serious injuries and were transported to a local hospital. The driver of the colliding vehicle was later pronounced dead, police confirmed.
Emergency responders from the Denver Fire Department assisted at the scene. The southbound lanes of I-25 were temporarily closed as authorities conducted their investigation and cleared the wreckage. The incident remains under investigation.
