Bridgeville, DE – June 4, 2026 – A 17-year-old girl died after being ejected from an SUV she was driving on Oak Road in Bridgeville.
According to Delaware State Police, the incident occurred at approximately 9:05 a.m. when the girl, a resident of the Lewes area, was traveling southbound at a high rate of speed. Her 4-year-old passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital.
Police did not immediately release the identity of the deceased. Emergency responders arrived at the scene to assist and investigate the circumstances of the crash. The investigation is ongoing, and further details will be provided as they become available.
