Raleigh, NC – Early Morning Crash Involves Multiple Vehicles, Injures Several
A multi-vehicle crash occurred shortly before 3 a.m. Thursday on Interstate 440, northbound near Exit 14.
According to the Raleigh Police Department, three vehicles were involved in the collision. Witnesses reported that traffic was moving slowly when one vehicle rear-ended another, causing a chain reaction.
Emergency crews responded promptly, providing medical aid to seven individuals at the scene. Two people were transported to WakeMed with non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities confirmed that the northbound lanes of I-440 were closed for approximately two hours while emergency workers cleared the wreckage. Towing services removed the vehicles involved.
The cause of the accident is under investigation, and traffic is now flowing normally. No fatalities were reported.
