Nashville Students Relaunch Donation Drive for Children's Hospital Games

NASHVILLE, TN — On October 10, 2023, students at a local school initiated a donation drive aimed at collecting board and card games for the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.

According to hospital representatives, the drive seeks to provide entertainment for young patients unable to leave their rooms. The initiative, known as the Red Wagon Project, encourages community members to donate new or gently-used games.

“Games can significantly improve the hospital experience for children,” said a representative. The students are working to raise awareness and gather donations, with a collection deadline set for October 25, 2023.

Local businesses and families are encouraged to participate by dropping off donations at designated collection points throughout the Nashville area. Additionally, cash donations will also be accepted to support the purchase of new games.

For further information, community members can contact the school's administration office.
