Several students were injured in a school bus crash in Goldsboro on Thursday afternoon, authorities said.
The Goldsboro Police and Fire Departments responded around 4 p.m. to a single-vehicle incident involving a school bus at the bridge on North Carolina Street and West Vine Street.
The bus, transporting students from Dillard Charter Academy, had nine children on board, alongside two adults—a driver and a bus monitor.
Six students were transported to UNC Health Wayne with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver was airlifted to ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville; the extent of the driver's injuries has not been disclosed.
Emergency response teams ensured the area was secured; no further details are currently available regarding the crash investigation or recommended lane closures.
