One person died in a head-on collision on State Route 3 in Mifflin Township on August 28, 2025, at approximately 10 p.m.
A southbound Buick LaCrosse crossed into the northbound lanes and struck a Honda Pilot, according to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office.
The driver of the Buick was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and pronounced dead at 10:44 p.m. The identity of the driver has not yet been released.
The Honda's driver was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.
The cause of the Buick crossing into the oncoming lane is currently under investigation, and authorities stated that further details will be provided as they become available.
