Driver Overturns After Guardrail Collision on New Jersey Roadway
TOMS RIVER, NJ— A driver was hospitalized following an accident on Route 37 near Hooper Avenue at approximately 2:41 p.m. today.
According to the New Jersey State Police, the vehicle veered off the roadway, struck a guardrail, and overturned into nearby bushes. Emergency personnel from the Toms River Fire Department responded to the scene to assist the injured driver.
The driver, whose identity is not yet released, was transported to Community Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities confirmed that no other vehicles were involved in the incident.
All eastbound lanes were temporarily closed as crews worked to remove the overturned vehicle and clear debris from the roadway. The lane closures caused significant delays in the area.
