FREEHOLD — Shamirah “Shakie” Shenasia Nolan, 37, was laid to rest on March 20 following a fatal car crash in Toms River.
Nolan died on March 7 at approximately 11 p.m. in a head-on collision on Route 9. Authorities reported that the crash involved two vehicles.
Emergency responders arrived on the scene and provided medical aid, but Nolan succumbed to her injuries. The Toms River Police Department is conducting an ongoing investigation into the accident.
More than 300 family members, friends, and colleagues attended her funeral service, reflecting on the impact of her life and the cherished moments shared with loved ones.
