Stolen Vehicle Chase in Bozeman Ends in Crash and Foot Pursuit
BOZEMAN — A stolen vehicle chase through downtown Bozeman concluded in a crash and foot pursuit on Wednesday, August 27, 2023.
Authorities received reports of the stolen vehicle near Bozeman High School and initiated a pursuit shortly thereafter. The vehicle was pursued along Main Street, with the driver as the sole occupant.
The chase ended near the intersection of 11th Avenue and Main Street when the vehicle crashed. The driver then fled the scene on foot but was apprehended by officers on the north side of Ashley Furniture, according to Police Chief Jim Veltkamp.
